VERY SAD NEWS!
Grandmaster Burt Figueroa died from complications of Cancer last February.
Grandmaster Figueroa was 70 yrs old. He was the last Grandmaster of Comjuka. A Filipino Martial Arts Icon has passed but will never be forgotten.

Tuhon Gaudiosa Ruby Safely Retuned From the Philippines. She did however return with a nasty chest cold that required antibiotic treatment but she is improving.
70 Year Old Joins Kali Association
For the first time Mr. Watkins, (Guro Dennis's father), has begun studying Comjuka-Kali Systems. It is the first of any martial arts training Mr. Watkins, "Pops", has ever had. Pops was heard saying on the phone to relatives in Oregon - "Just when I think I may be getting into some kind of shape or figuring this stuff out, he throws something new at us and I am hurting all over again the next day - or three. I swear he's getting even with me for being such a hard ass with him when we played music together some 30 years ago or so." It's all just part of the program Guro Dennis assures. We are mindful of his age and physical considerations. For a new student - of 70 years old he is doing quite well. More than all that he has gained an entirely new and grand respect for this art.
